El mundo es un pañuelo!!! EN SERIO.

That saying has the same meaning as 'It's a small world' in English (pañuelo = handkerchief.. I don't get it either). AND IT REALLY IS. You will not believe what just happened to me. I could not believe it.

Okay, so backstory: I am in the GW Vibes (an a capella group) back home. And my freshman year, there was a girl in the group with us named Gill! And she was super funny and great and everyone loved her, but she didn't love GW (it wasn't the right fit for her) so she transferred schools and we missed her very much!

WELL. I was walking to my Psych class today, and I got into CIEE and went to check my mail, and I turn around and I SEE GILL. And she's like 'RACHEL I THOUGHT THAT WAS YOU!!!!' And we hugged and it was a beautiful UNBELIEVABLE MIND-BLOWING reunion!

Like, it turns out she was VISITING FROM THE USA. It's not even like she's also studying abroad and decided to visit her friend close by. She came all the way from the US to visit one of her friends who is in my program but goes to her University. And she was asking for updates about Vibes and everything and it was crazy! I was like WE NEED TO TAKE A PICTURE TO DOCUMENT HOW MUCH OF A PAÑUELO THE WORLD IS.

So here it is!

CRAZY. UNA LOCURA. AY AY!

I seriously love when that happens.

On another note, I learned some more Spanish slang.

A six-pack, as in some hot man's BEAUTIFUL ABS is called 'tableta de chocolate' in Spanish. THAT'S RIGHT. A CHOCOLATE BAR. Because those are like... split up into six pieces sometimes? So it does make sense!

Now, someone who has a BEER BELLY (or maybe it's just a big belly..) .. the beer/big belly is called 'pan' ... as in bread. I don't really understand that but that's okay.

THE MORE YOU KNOW.
