What a day, qué día...

Good news - MY PSYCH PROF DIDNT ASSIGN ANY HOMEWORK FOR WEDNESDAY THANK JESUS (pronounce that like 'hay-zoos'.. the spanish way)

Also, my dinner today was microwave pizza with A FRIED EGG ON TOP which may sound gross but it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I like fried eggs now!

This morning when I was eating breffast at the cafe-bar con Teresa y Margarita.. Margarita was showing us a picture of her daughter AND GRANDDAUGHTER (Margarita is probably like in her late 30s... I can't even imagine the ages of her hija/nieta.. but whatever no pasa nada, i just didn't expect it) .. and TERESA commented about the size of Margarita's hija's 'TETAS' which are EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK THEY ARE and I was like LOOOOOL this is so weird I can't imagine a grandma saying this.

And then when we were walking back to the piso, a man was also waiting for the elevator and he had stepped in dog shit and Margarita y yo both knew but Teresa didn't and she went in the elevator with him and was like UGH WHAT SMELLS loooool. And then when Margarita and I went in afterwards we were like on our tippy toes and holding our breath so we wouldn't step in the REMNANTS.

BUT ANYWAY

I went to EL CORO after my class today.. IT'S HUGE AND LOTS OF PEOPLE AND I WAS SO NERVOUS AND they are singing Bach and my sheet music is a million pages long and I realized how terrible I am with comprehension of SPANISH. The directors were really nice.. I thought I was just practicing for my audition and it turned out that WAS the audition so it was super easy and lax.. and there's a few Americans.. and I talked to some German girl who spoke Spanish.. The subdirector Santiago was like 'Where did you learn Spanish? You have a 'raro' accent..' which means rare/strange? So I said Thank you and he said 'Well, I didn't say it was pretty, just rare...'

TÍO DO YOU THINK I EVEN KNOW WHAT I AM SAYING? THIS IS MY AMERICAN ACCENT. MY AMERICAN-TRYING-TO-EVEN-PRETEND-TO-BE-SPANISH-ACCENT! hombre..

Then when I left, some NICE SPANIARDS were like 'how did it go?' but I GAVE THEM THE OL' DEER IN HEADLIGHTS because my comprehension SUCKS. And then I was like 'OH BIEN' except I didnt say 'bien' I said 'bueno' because when I am flustered I forget ALL PROPER GRAMMAR RULES.

Then I couldnt escape and the security guard let me out but he was very nice and I think he called me hija too so I like when people do that heheh.

AND WHEN I GOT HOME I showed my host parents my ENORMOUS BOOK and they know nothing about music and were trying to look up the songs about youtube and follow along with the music and they thought they were but they were so wrong and it was adorable. Then they were like IF YOU NEED TO PRACTICE JUST GO FOR IT WE WANT TO HEAR YOU SING.

and i was like HEH HEH HEH BWAHHH

But I'm starting to find some good spanish music I think.. I'm taking some time tonight to put them on my ipod...

THAT'S ALL.
THIS IS CRAY.

Edit: I'd just like to point out that the choir people are very nice. The Student President, Nahyane (DEF not a Spanish name), who I was corresponding with to figure out where I had to be and when... he facebook chatted me later tonight asking how my first day went. I told him I was a little overwhelmed and he said there were midis that I could listen to to practice. So that was nice!
