I forgot to mention our Botellón on Sunday!

If you look up Botellón on Wikipedia you get 'a mass meeting of young people between 13 and 24 years, mainly in open areas of free access, to consume drinks previously purchased in shops, listen to music, and talk' ....  so it was something like that.

Mis amigos y yo went to this little spot along the Guadalquivir River that Nito told us about, where I guess a lot of people our age go to hang out and drink (socially) ... so we wanted to have a classy night by the river. But there are open container laws in Spain, so all of us were stupid and guiri-ish and worried that we'd get in trouble. So we bring Rioja wine, plus some lemony carbonated drink, because Caitlin's señora mixed those two things together and it tasted good. But we brought water bottles because we had nothing to put it in. And we had no corkscrew.

So here we were, giggling American idiots surrounded by annoyed Spaniards by the river, opening a wine bottle by pushing the cork through with a pen, and then pouring it into our empty water bottles, halfway and then the rest with the lemon stuff. It tasted pretty good, kind of like Tinto, but we looked so sketchy. After the initial shenanigans it was really absolutely no big deal and then we sat for an hour or so talking about LIFE. Which was pretty fun.

We went back today (sin alcohol), and saw a couple on a date, eating McDonalds and sipping wine from GLASSES. Que classy, no?

And that's the story of our classy-not-trashy Secret Botellón. :)

ALSO I FOUND THE CHURRERÍA ON THE TRIANA BRIDGE. I was looking on the wrong side of the bridge the whole time. You have to cross the bridge at Calle Betis/San Jacinto, and right on the other side is the churreria. It was closed tonight but hopefully some other night we'll be able to get some deliciousness.

BUENAS
