OH MY GOD WHAT A GREAT NIGHT EVER EVER

OKAY SO THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED. First of all I want you to know that SO MUCH SPANISH WAS SPOKEN THIS NIGHT. Ya'llz would be prooooooud.

(I'd just like to point out, as I was going to make this a random post but now that I'm posting way cooler stuff it doesnt seem nearly as important.. I'm sorry to say.. Spanish pizza??? like.. pizza delivery places? NOT AS GOOD AS IN THE US. THAT'S THE ONLY THING I SWEAR)

OKAY. So I go to CIEE to get my introduction to my Interest Group con ABRAHAM. And APPARENTLY my interest group is the SMALLEST ONE... there are 5 of us Americans.. but he got his friend JUAN ANTONIO (not my intercambio .. different J.A.) to bring SO MANY OF HIS SPANISH FRIENDS. I will tell you the names - Juan, Ignacio, Howie? (it's probably spelled differently, he's colombian), OTHER IGNACIO, Maria, Andrea ... and one Ignacio brought a friend later that I NEVER HEARD THE NAME OF so now I feel bad. Wait, by the way, we called both of these 'Ignacio's NACHO. LIKE NACHO FROM GW. WHO IS TALKING TO ME RIGHT NOW ON FACEBOOK ABOUT HOW GREAT SEVILLA IS. THAT IS THREE NACHOS IN ONE NIGHT.

So AFTER the interest group stuff (which sounds VERY fun - especially with this group!!), Juan and his friends took us to 100 MONTADITOS for 1€ TINTOOO Y CERVEZAAA... but okay, I told my Intercambio J.A. that I would meet him at the Encuentro de Intercambios at 10:30. I didn't show up until 12:30. I FEEL TERRIBLE. I sent him a SUUUUPER apologetic email, I really really hope he doesn't hate me. I think in Spain, people are more lax about this stuff, but I'd rather apologize anyway. My friend Julia (from NOLA) said she met him because he was walking around looking for his intercambio. She talked to him for a while, and said he was really sweet and that he DIDNT SEEM ANGRY so that's wonderful. I hope he doesnt hate me.

But anyway, ALL the spaniards from my interest group came to the Intercambio thing, but then we left because all the Americans' partners had left (booo)... BUT ALL THE MEANTIME ... I learned a new toast (to toast, is BRINDAR, and toasts are BRINDIS) -- 'Quien no apoya, no folla!' = Whoever doesn't support/rest (their drink) doesn't fuck ... OKAY THIS DESERVES EXPLANATION -- so apparently, after you toast everyone, you HAVE TO PUT YOUR DRINK DOWN ON THE TABLE, and THEN pick it back up to take a sip. And you say this while that is going on. So whoever doesnt support their drink on the table (sabes?)... doesn't get laid that night? lmfao I'm not sure where that comes from but I WILL TAKE IT.

They taught us so many swears, I can't even. LIKE 'de puta madre' means like MAN THAT'S MOTHER FUCKIN AWESOME but 'tu puta madre' IS VERY BAD. DONT SAY THAT OR YOU WILL BE HURT. VERY OFFENSIVE. And we learned names for hangovers and guidos and twins and rich bitches (pija??) and lots of marijuana related words (they just call it Maria hahahaha) MOST OF WHICH I DONT EVEN KNOW IN ENGLISH lololololol.

And then we went to a small bar that we were in one of the first nights, and WE ALL TOOK A PICTURE TOGETHER AND HERE THEY ARE:

WHATEVER I LOVE BOTH PICTURES SO LOOK AT THEM BOTH

AHH ALSO we saw Nito at Encuentro de Intercambios and he said he was gonna get together with ONLY OUR GROUP. GRUPO CINCO. to give us all SHIRTS. YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYA

OH AND the students that are the language police at CIEE (Sara and Edu) were there and they were talking to me and YAY SO MANY FRIENDS ESPANOLES<3

GREAT NIGHT.
